Glow Girl® Birchleaf Spirea

Glow Girl Birchleaf Spirea is a mounded deciduous shrub with birch-like leaves that emerges bright  yellow, matures to chartreuse, and turns shades of red, orange, and purple in fall.  The small but plentiful red tinted buds open to white flat-topped clusters that bloom in mid to late spring. Grows best in full sun and well-drained soils. 

MAINTENANCE NEEDS: Low Maintenance.  Susceptible to many of the diseases and insects that attract other rose family members, including leaf spot, fire blight, powdery mildew, root rot, aphids, leaf roller and scale.
LANDSCAPE USES:  Accents or Group Plantings, Borders, Wildlife Garden, Foundation Plantings, Hedges, and Containers.

COMPANION PLANTS:  Barberry, Saliva, Coneflower
