Penny™ Red Blotch Viola

Penny Red Blotch Viola is a hardy compact uniform perennial with tight branches and toothed green heart-shaped leaves leaves.  The fragrant red flowers with a dark face and tiny yellow eye have blooms in spring and fall, and can be deadheaded to prolong blooms.  Prefers full sun and moist well-drained soils.  

MAINTENANCE NEEDS: Medium Maintenance.  Water regularly- keep soil moisture consistent.  Susceptible to fugal leaf damage. Watch for snails and slugs.  Deadheading can prolong bloom season.  Plants may go dormant in summer heat.

LANDSCAPE USES:  Accents or Group Plantings, Borders, Woodland Gardens, Naturalized Areas, Wildlife Gardens, and Containers.
