Purple Pavement Rugosa Rose is a compact thorny deciduous shrub with a rounded habit and crinkly serrated deep green foliage that turns yellow and maroon in fall. The spicy scented semi-double flowers are magenta purple and blooms from late spring into fall, which are followed by orange rosehips. Best grown in full sun and rich, moist, slightly acidic well-drained soils. Purple Pavement has good disease resistance and hip production, and tolerates drought and salt.
