Blue Rug Juniper is a female coniferous shrub noted for its dense prostrate form.  The spiny aromatic needle-like foliage is silver-blue and earns purple tones in winter.  Blue Rug is a female cultivar, and will produce blue-black fleshy seed cones that mature in two years.  Best planted in full sun and well-drained soils.  Drought Tolerant once established.
