Chardonnay Pearls® Deutzia

Chardonnay Pearls Deutzia is a small deciduous shrub with a rounded habit.  Its attractive lemon-lime foliage holds its color through fall.  Tiny fragrant white flowers on upright panicles cover the shrub for two weeks in early spring.  Blooms best in full sun and moist, and well-drained soils. 

MAINTENANCE NEEDS: Low Maintenance.  Annual pruning often required due to short life of stems- prune immediately after flowering.  Some susceptibility to leaf spot. Wath for Leaf miners and aphids.

LANDSCAPE USES:  Accents or Group Plantings, Borders, Woodland Garden, Rock Gardens, Foundational Plantings, Hedges, and Containers.
