Densa Inkberry Holly is a dense upright evergreen shrub with spineless leathery dark green leaves.  If pollinated, the inconspicuous female flowers give way to inky-black berries moist, slightly acidic well-drained soils.  Hollies are dioecious and need both male and female plants to produce fruit.
