Elegans Hosta is a shade-loving herbaceous perennial primarily grown for its foliage. The large, heart-shaped basal leaves are powdered blue-green and deeply corrugated vein ribs. Small bell-like white flowers raise up in terminals from the rootstalk above the mound from late spring into summer attracting butterflies and pollinators. Best color in partial sun and moist well-drained soils. Elegans is slug damage resistant.
