Goat's Beard is a tall native herbaceous perennial with pinnately compound dark green foliage. Showy plumes of creamy flowers rise above the foliage in mid spring. Plants with male flowers produce a showier bloom than female flowers. Flowers best with part sun in the South and moist to wet well-drained soils.
