

Honeysong Purple Stokes' Aster is a fluffy compact native evergreen perennial with deep green foliage that forms a basal rosette. Cornflower-like royal purple flowers with tinges of red near the center that darkens with age bloom on erect leafy stems from midsummer into fall if deadheaded. Grows best with full sun and well-drained soils. Good drought and heat tolerance.
Stokesia laevis are a native host plant for several moths and butterflies, notably the Swallowtail Butterfly.
