Sarah Mountain Laurel

Sarah Mountain Laurel is a compact evergreen shrub that forms a dense mound of glossy, rich green foliage that emerges burgundy  Showy clusters of soft red buds open to coral pink cup-shaped flowers that bloom from late spring into summer.  Flowers best with part shade and rich, moist, well-drained acidic soils.  

MAINTENANCE NEEDS:  Low Maintenance.  Water regularly.  Mulch to retain moisture and keep root zone cool.  Prune lightly after bloom to promote bushy growth.  Susceptible to blights and leaf spot.  Watch for scale, borers, lace bugs, and white flies. Highly toxic if ingested.
